Tom Chimenti- Founder/Head Coach

 

Extra Innings Baseball Academy was founded by Tom Chimenti, inspired by his love of the game and his desire to coach younger players. Tom has always loved baseball, and with EIBA he is making his passion a reality. Tom is a graduate of La Roche College and after college enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon his career in the military, Tom obtained his Masters in Clinical Psychology and has developed the techniques for working with individuals at any age and developing proper discipline and personal development. Tom played both amateur and collegiate baseball and has been coaching 12 years, while also umpiring baseball for 13+ years. With 9 years of baseball clinics under his belt where he was led by Ray Bosetti a former Moon HS varsity coach, Tom has participated as a coach in the clinics of which coach Bosetti has held for 52 years. Over the years Coach Tom has obtained 8 years working at the Western Pennsylvania youth baseball summer camp & has gained a vast knowledge of educating and instructing baseball to youth. Currently Tom is the head JV coach at Our lady of the Sacred Heart High School (OLSH) and the assistant varsity coach at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School for the past 3 years. Tom has also served as a commissioner in the past for Brad Mar Pine Baseball, as well as a coach for Brad Mar Pine Tournament team for 2 years. 

 

Coach Tom proudly supports our Veterans and offers year round discounts for active duty and veterans.   Not only did he serve in the US Army, but he is presently an Alumni of the Wounded Warrior Project but he is also employed by the Wounded Warrior Project as a Combat Stress Recovery Specialist for Project Odyssey.
